Wow. This must have been really emotional to film. Being surrounded by all the hospital equipment, the breathing tube, the blood tubes, even though they weren't sewed in, it still has to be an emotional rollercoaster.

I'm not sobbing. You're sobbing. Omg I can't even begin to express the respect and gratitude I feel towards her for this. What a beautiful and brave girl. This is what it takes to start ending the stigma and creating an environment where addicts feel safe to try to get help before its too late. Every time I have had to go to a hospital, as soon as the doctors realized I had a history of addiction, they stopped caring about my life. I almost died one time because I had blot clots and they just didn't believe me. About an hour after leaving the hospital I collapsed. I woke up in a different hospital. Turns out I have a condition that effects my blood's coagulation. They just assumed because I was an addict that it either wasn't real or maybe they just didn't think my life mattered enough to check. I have a lot of similar stories too. Addicts are the one group of people who humanity collectively openly hates. As soon as a person is labeled "addict", they cease to be a human being. All of the things that brought them to the addiction in the first place don't matter. You aren't the person who was sexually and physically abused throughout your childhood and was diagnosed with CPTSD because of it and went to drugs to try to cope with the pain, flashbacks, insomnia, fear of people, etc. You're no longer someone's daughter. You're just a junkie who is undeserving of compassion or even the air you breathe. OK.. I'll admit it.. I'm talking about myself. That was way too specific lol. Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

It really is a life-changing and eye-opening experience to overdose, especially on Fentanyl. When you overdose, and die, your spirit and everything that makes you, You, goes away. Just a body lies there. Gone so quickly. Just fades to black, and then if your lucky your soul comes back and enters your body. You have no idea who all of the ambulance people are, what they’re doing, what all happened, and why your chest hurts ( due to the compressions)., But the very worst moment is walking out of an ER room with your mother there crying. I had been sober for a little over three years. I have no idea why I did it other than being in a bad state of depression. It’s easy to relapse. Talk to someone and explain your feelings. Dying due to a drug. Was it worth it? Letting it have the power to steal your unique spirit away for one last high. You and we all deserve better than that. And this is an honest video that will have a positive effect on so many people, from children, teens, and adults addicts.. Better than those meth tapes we had to watch in middle school 💟☮️💟☮️

Some young people will see this and realize they're not alone as they think and it will help them in ways that a therapist may not have been able to. Dealing with any kind of...problems in ones life is never easy and it only becomes harder if it's not addressed first by oneself. You, Demi, I have so much respect for as a person not just as a celebrity because in my eyes that's not the only thing you are. You are like the rest of us and you deal with things that we do cause we're all the same. Everyone goes through something, or even multiple obstacles, in their lives but sadly not many come out of it. Those who do however are far stronger for it because they survived it. On a more personal notice...I nearly took my own life because of some things that I was struggling with after recently losing my grandfather and some of the things that the people around me were doing to cope with his death or that they felt what they did helped them, it only made my situation a lot worse. I wanted nothing more than to give up and just fade away into the darkness of my own thoughts and be gone from this world.
